How we build
Cursyv is a calm place to draft a novel. Chapters, the Encyclopedia, and named History entries stay within reach so continuity does not depend on scattered files or another app beside the page. The product does not generate, rewrite, suggest, or summarize your prose — that boundary is quiet and constant, expressed through what the workspace is rather than a campaign against other tools.
Three things, kept beside the prose
Long fiction needs three pieces of infrastructure to live in one place:
Characters, locations, and entries — a reference layer indexed into the page where each name appears.
Named checkpoints with fingerprints. Restore any entry into the editor without losing what you have now.
Drafting in the proportions of the finished book — Trade 6×9 or Digest 5.5×8.5 — so what you see matches the printed object.
The work stays yours
We think drafting fiction is a deliberate, slow act — and that the satisfaction of finishing a chapter you wrote yourself is the whole point. Tools should remove friction from your writing, not insert themselves into it. Cursyv is built to stay out of the page and leave the sentences to you.
Authorship and privacy
Every History entry carries a SHA-256 fingerprint. Export the Proof Record when you need it — JSON plus a human-readable README — and an Authorship Certificate (PDF) when paperwork asks for paperwork. Your manuscript is not training data for generative models. The record is portable and yours.
