Terms of use

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Cursyv at cursyv.com, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Cursyv is operated as an early-stage product. Features, pricing, and availability may change as we invite writers into previews.

2. Early access and beta

Cursyv may be incomplete, change materially, or pause features during development. By using early access, you accept that the service is provided “as available” and that timelines on the roadmap are goals, not guarantees.

We may label features as beta or in preview. Beta surfaces may have rough edges, data loss risk during migrations, or breaking changes with notice on the Changelog.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@cursyv.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to create an account.

4. Pricing and payment

Published prices on the marketing site are our intended early-release rates. We may adjust them before we enable paid checkout; you will see the final price and billing interval clearly before you authorize any charge.

Subscriptions and one-time Founding Member purchases will be processed via Stripe when billing opens.

Payments will be processed by Stripe or another certified payment processor. We do not store your full card number on Cursyv servers.

5. Subscriptions

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. After cancellation, access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, unless we state otherwise at purchase.

Refund rules — including whether partial refunds are offered — will be spelled out in the final Terms and at checkout. Until then, contact us for billing questions.

6. Founding Member and lifetime access

A Founding Member purchase grants access to Cursyv core for as long as we commercially offer that tier to customers. It covers the writing workspace — draft editor, Encyclopedia, History, and Proof — not every future standalone product we may sell separately (for example a native desktop app or agency tooling).

Lifetime access does not guarantee that every future feature will be included, that the company will never sunset the product, or that a successor entity will continue the same terms. Specific carve-outs will appear in the counsel-reviewed agreement.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of manuscripts, Encyclopedia entries, History checkpoints, and other content you create in Cursyv. You grant us a limited license to host, back up, and process that content solely to operate the service — including autosave, share links, proof fingerprints, and collaboration features you enable.

You represent that you have the rights to upload and share your content and that it does not violate applicable law or third-party rights.

8. Authorship and prose

Cursyv does not generate, rewrite, complete, summarize, score, or “improve” your prose via AI. We do not use your manuscript content to train generative models. See our approach page and Privacy policy for the full commitment.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without permission.
• Interfere with other users' access or attempt to access another account's manuscripts.
• Upload malware, spam, or unlawful content.
• Reverse-engineer the service except where law expressly permits.
• Misrepresent Cursyv proof exports as legal authority without reading the included disclaimers.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@cursyv.app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk, with notice when practical.

On termination, your right to use the service ends. Manuscript data is deleted according to our Privacy policy retention schedule.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Cursyv is provided “as is” during early access. Proof Record exports document fingerprints and timestamps as evidence — they are not legal advice or a guarantee of copyright ownership. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and limit liability for indirect or consequential damages. Final language will be counsel-reviewed.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
